God, our Father, sees us as who we are and speaks it into us. We can (and should) do the same for our children.
We have the ability, with our words, to bring life and death into our homes. The word of God is filled with words of life spoken by the Father over His children. As parents we get the opportunity to do the same with our kids. We get to build a culture of encouragement by the words we choose to use with them.

How do you start becoming an encouraging parent?
Well, this might sound simple but just do it.
Stop being critical and start choosing your words wisely.
Find things that you love about your kids and tell them.
Observe things they are doing well and let them know.
Call things out in them that you have not seen yet but believe are possible.
Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits.
